Corfu ‘s nightlife is one of the liveliest and most varied in the entire Greek archipelago, with offerings ranging from the exclusive clubs of the old town to the wild parties of Kavos. This island of the Ionian Islands, with its cosmopolitan history and Venetian, British and French influence, has created a unique nightlife scene that mixes European elegance and Mediterranean party spirit.
Corfu is distinguished from the other Greek islands by its dual soul: on the one hand the sophisticated clubs in the UNESCO-listed old town, on the other the more commercial areas such as Kavos and Sidari that attract young people from all over Europe. Corfu Town offers the most sophisticated nightlife on the island. The Liston, the elegant French-style arcade, is home to historic cafés that transform into exclusive cocktail bars in the evening. Kavos, in the far south of the island, is synonymous with extreme nightlife. This 2 km strip is entirely dedicated to young entertainment with dozens of bars, clubs and discos. Future Club is the largest disco, with capacity for 3000 people and international DJs every week during the summer.
Atlantis Club offers different theme nights every night, from British garage to Latin reggaeton. Quayside Village is a complex of interconnected bars where you can go from club to club without ever leaving. Rolling Stone and Buzz Bar are the pre-evening hotspots with cheap shots and loud music as early as the afternoon.
The east coast, with Ipsos and Dassia, offers a middle ground between the elegance of the city and the chaos of Kavos. B52 Club in Ipsos is one of the island’s historic discos, with afternoon beach parties that turn into clubbing nights. Pazuzu Beach Club (different from the one in town) offers a more refined atmosphere with premium sunbeds and DJ sets at sunset.
Edem Beach is the most photographed beach club on Instagram, with bohemian decor and tropical cocktails. In Dassia, Corfu Sailing Club organises elegant evenings with lounge music and views of the bay, while Ammos Beach Bar is perfect for those seeking relaxation and good music without excess.
Paleokastritsa, with its spectacular bays, offers a more romantic and sophisticated nightlife. The Grotta Bar, carved into the rock overlooking the sea, offers a unique experience with sunset cocktails and ambient music. Akron Beach Bar organises sunset ceremonies with chill-out DJ sets and breathtaking views.
7th Heaven Café on the way to the monastery is famous for its rooftop terrace and molecular cocktails. During the summer, many beach establishments organise beach dinners with live music and barbecues on the sand.
Corfu has embraced the trend of exclusive beach clubs with state-of-the-art facilities. Ikos Dassia offers a premium experience with beach service, a starred restaurant and resident DJs. Saints & Sinners in Glyfada combines an infinity pool, private cabanas and exclusive VIP parties.
Barbati Beach House offers a more relaxed but equally sophisticated concept with morning yoga, Sunday brunch and sunset aperitifs. Lido Corfu in the north of the island is the new hotspot for influencers and celebrities, with private events and collaborations with luxury brands.
Corfu’s live music scene is particularly vibrant. Municipal Theatre hosts classical concerts and opera throughout the year. Corfu Beer Festival in July transforms the Spianada into a huge party with Greek and international rock bands. Jazz Bar Corfu in the old town offers jam sessions every Wednesday with local and guest musicians.
In the traditional taverns of Pelekas and Sinarades, you can still hear kantades, the Corfiot UNESCO heritage serenades. Roda Beach hosts the Ionian Jazz festival every August, while Sidari Music Festival brings pop and rock artists to the Canal d’Amour beach.
Corfu boasts an open and welcoming LGBTQ+ scene. Babylon Bar in town is the island’s historic gay club, with drag shows on weekends and an inclusive atmosphere. Magazia Club organises monthly queer parties with international DJs. During Corfu Pride in June, the whole island is coloured rainbow with special events in many venues.
The Corfiot summer is full of events that liven up the nights. Varkarola, the sea festival in August, sees illuminated boats and fireworks followed by parties in all the harbour venues. The Festival of St Spyridon brings night processions and concerts to the square. Corfu Summer Festival from June to September offers theatre and music performances in historic locations.
Thematic beach parties are organised weekly: Tribal Gathering at Arillas beach, Full Moon Party at Agios Gordios, Sunset Ritual at Loggas beach. Many establishments collaborate with international brands for exclusive events such as Corona Sunsets or Aperol Spritz parties.
