The island of Skopelos has no airport so the only option is to arrive by sea. The best option is to take a flight to the island of Skiathos, which is well connected by direct low-cost flights in the summer months. From there, it is possible to take a ferry to Skopelos. The duration of the ferry crossing may vary depending on the company chosen, but it usually takes a little over an hour.

The ports of arrival are Chora, the island’s capital, and the small village of Glossa, both located along the north coast of the island. The price of the ticket may vary depending on the route chosen, but it is still very cheap (around ten euros per passenger).

There is also the possibility of flying to Athens and then taking the ferry to Skopelos, but we do not recommend this solution because it is very inconvenient. From the airport you have to go to the centre, then take the bus to Agios Kostantinos (an hour’s journey) and then one or two ferries. Better then to land in Thessaloniki, if possible, and from there take a direct ferry.
